Hans scheepers has a very outspoken vision on ensemble playing at a young age. Pleasure and playability are the key words. Alle parts are interesting and fun to play. Works for string orchestra and piano consist of first, second and third violin, optional viola (most of the time equal to third violin), cello and double bass. The piano plays a supporting role: it prvides a steady rhythm and doubles the bass. Grade A: playable after twe years of lessons, all violin parts in first position. Grade B: playable aftre three years of lessons, the first violin also in third position. Grades C and D are the following stages.
